Exploring New Ways of Knowing

On the morning of 14th October, Charlie Moreno and Paola Boccia from EUDEC and Garazi Arizkorreta-Orzamabal from UPV/EHU took part in Transformative Research & Embodied Inquiry, a hands-on workshop exploring embodied inquiry as a methodology for transformative research.

Designed particularly for faculty members, PhD candidates, and early-career researchers, the workshop invited participants to explore how embodied approaches can open up new possibilities for research, knowledge creation, and critical reflection. By placing lived experience and embodied ways of knowing at the centre of inquiry, embodied research offers opportunities to rethink conventional approaches to academic practice and to explore more experiential and transformative ways of engaging with complex questions.

The workshop featured contributions from Prof. Nicole Brown (University College London), Prof. Alessandra Romano, and Dr. Giovanni Gottardo, creating an opportunity to engage with innovative research methodologies and reflect on their potential to transform academic practice.
